my approach

i am forever wonder-soaked at the intricate mysteries and possibilities of the body. i approach each person on my table with a sense of reverence, warmth and a deep trust in each person’s innate capacity to find ongoing healing within their body. it is an honor to be present with you on this path.

i come to this work as both an experienced massage therapist // bodyworker as well as through the lens of a trained scholar. i also arrive at this work as a survivor of violence devoted to accompanying other survivors towards integration, greater wholeness, and perhaps even somatic alchemy.

as a scholar, i weave together contemporary sexual ethics, trauma theory, Jewish mysticism, and queer + feminist theory to teach and write in ways that expand our notions of what is possible to experience with the body, particularly in erotic encounters. for me, these strands of work are inextricable from one another.

as a bodyworker, i strive towards integrating an ever-expanding web of knowledge in order to support people who have experienced violence, trauma and grief to find more aliveness, joy and presence in their bodies.

to do this, i focus my technical expertise on the areas of the body that tend to hold reverberations of significant experiences: the pelvis, the sacrum, and the abdomen. i also specialize in myofascial barefoot bodywork, which allows for a potent, compressive experience that opens up fascial lines and increases full-body integration and mobility.

i also bring years of experience as a trained dancer to my work, allowing for a graceful fluidity that can help clients drop into a deeper state of relaxation and receptivity.
